China Mobile has forecast that it will sign up around 250 million 4G-LTE subscribers next year, with plans to deploy over one million TD-LTE (Time-Division Long Term Evolution) base stations to expand coverage, reported Xinhua News Agency on December 20. The company said that, by end-2014, it will have over 80 million 4G users and nearly 700,000 TD-LTE base stations in China. Regarding end user devices, China Mobile aims to sell over 250 million units in 2015, up from this year's 230 million units. 4G-capable models are expected to take up over 80% of the company's total sales in the coming year.
